MILLER MOTORSPORTS PARK TEST - DAY TWO Tooele, UT (May, 8, 2008) - Day Two at Miller Motorsports Park was much more cooperative from a weather standpoint for the Jordan Suzuki team. Aaron Yates continued to test items on the Superbike, including GPS, Traction Control, wide front wheels, and tires.
Much progress was made in the electronic area getting the Motec pieces further along. Geoff May tested some TC (BPD), engine management things, and tires. Both machines ran flawlessly with no mechanical issues and each rider completed over 250 miles on the final day of the test.
All in all, and even with the poor start on Wednesday due to weather, it was a successful test for our team. And we are in much better shape for our arrival at Miller, May 29-June1, for the AMA weekend with both riders having spent some time on the new 4.5 mile full course layout.

MILLER MOTORSPORTS PARK TEST - DAY ONE
Tooele, UT (May 7, 2008) - Day one of the two day test concluded today with good progress for both Geoff May and Aaron Yates. Despite inclement weather for most of the morning and the late afternoon, both riders were able to complete approximately 30 laps around the 23 turn, 4.486 mile course.
For this season's race, the AMA Superbike riders will race on the "Full Course" configuration for the first time, so a big part of this test will be to familiarize the riders and teams with the new layout. In addition, Geoff is testing some BPD electronics and Aaron will be adding additional functionality in his Superbike electronics and testing front wheel widths and a stiffened swingarm. Since it is the first time any of the teams have run the full course, it is difficult to know yet what a "good" lap time will be. Currently, both riders are lapping in the 2:54 range and are dropping their times with each lap. With a little luck, the weather will be warmer and dry for Day 2 and we will have a productive day.
