UPDATE: ROAD ATLANTA TESTING

(August  8, 2007) -  The Jordan Suzuki team just completed a two day test at Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA August 7 and 8 under sweltering conditions.  With temperatures in excess of 100 degrees and extremely high humidity, Aaron and Jake each completed around 300 miles in the two day test. Participants included the factory Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki teams as well as Corona Honda, M4 Suzuki, Attack Kawasaki, and Graves Yamaha.

In the Superstock class, Jake and Aaron recorded fast laps competitive with Ben Spies and Ben Bostrom and well below last year's winning race pace of 1:24.486. Jake rode quite a few laps while continuing to recover from his injuries at Mid-Ohio while Aaron rode very few laps.

Unofficial times:

            Holden      1:23.6
            Yates         1:23.4

In the Superbike class, Aaron made significant progress Wednesday after struggling a bit on the first day. Very little time was spent on the Superstock bike in order to concentrate on trying the improve the set-up on the Superbike. Much of the test was spent on testing different front end set-ups in order to improve the front end feel of the motorcycle. By mid-morning of day two, Aaron was below his last year's qualifying time of 1:23.942 and near last year's pole of 1:21.987.

Unofficial times:

            Yates        1:22.4

In all, a very good test for the Jordan team. The bikes ran well in spite of the oppressive heat and the lap times were very good. The changes made on the Superbike seem very promising and we are all looking forward to the next few rounds.

The team returns to Road Atlanta for racing action August 31 - September 2, 2007.
